ReOC Consultation

If you are seeking to work commercially with an aircraft above 2kg or outside of the standard operating conditions (such as night operations) then your organisation will need to hold a Remote Operators Certificate (ReOC).

There are two ways to apply for your ReOC, the first is directly to the regulator and the second is via one of their delegates.

There is a lot to learn but it is entirely possible to complete this process without any outside aid and is often the least expensive way to complete your ReOC application.

There is a lot to learn but it is entirely possible to complete this process without any outside aid and is often the least expensive way to complete your ReOC application.

The process for both options involves four steps:

1.      Develop or customise your ReOC Operations Manual

2.      Submit the application to either CASA or one of their Delegates

3.      Plan an operation in accordance with your manual based on a scenario provided by CASA or the Delegate

4.      Complete a Chief Remote Pilot Interview with CASA or Delegate based around the planned scenario.

ReOC consultation to get your documentation sorted.

Both application types can be achieved without external assistance or intervention with a lot of information that is contained on the CASA website, however if you find yourself stuck or would like help from the beginning to make the process as smooth as possible, we offer a range of consultation options to help guide you to where you need to go.

Starting with a consultation meeting we will establish exactly what your needs as an organisation are and from there we will develop the appropriate documentation to suit your application.

We will then schedule a briefing with your incoming Chief Remote Pilot (CRP) to go through the documentation in detail and assist in the application to the regulator or delegate.

From there we will meet with the CRP regularly to guide them through the process of preparing their scenario response and their CRP interview.
